Product Growth Strategy Matrix Presentation Template

The Ansoff product growth matrix is one of those frameworks that should be self-explanatory. Four quadrants. Two axes. A clean way to show where a business is taking its products and why. But most versions people put together from scratch end up looking like something from a 2009 MBA slide deck – boxy, flat, and somehow both overcrowded and empty at the same time. The framework is elegant. The execution usually isn’t.

This template starts from a different place. Each quadrant that is, Market Penetration, Market Development, Product Development, Diversification – has its own distinct color gradient and icon, not because it looks nice (though it does), but because your audience needs to orient themselves instantly. In a live presentation, you don’t get to say “wait, look at the bottom-left.” They’re either tracking or they’re not. Visual distinction does that work for you.

The surrounding text areas aren’t an afterthought. They’re where the actual argument lives – the risk assessment, the rationale, the “here’s why we’re pursuing this quadrant and not that one.” Most matrix templates treat those spaces like footnotes. This product growth matrix treats them like what they are: the part of the slide your CFO is actually going to read.

The design is clean in a way that transfers across contexts – corporate decks, consulting deliverables, product strategy reviews, internal planning sessions where the audience is skeptical and has seen every lazy framework slide imaginable. It doesn’t look like a template (which is the whole point of a good template). It looks like someone on your team is good at this.

The product growth matrix is fully editable in PowerPoint and Google Slides. Swap the colors for your brand palette, update the icons, rewrite every text block – the structure holds. That’s the thing about a well-built template: it bends without breaking.

If you’re a product manager, strategist, or consultant who regularly has to translate complex thinking into something an executive can absorb in thirty seconds – this is built for exactly that. Not because it does the thinking for you. But because once the thinking is done, it shouldn’t take two more hours to make it look credible.
